** At some point over the season, keep an eye out for an appearance at your team practice by Buddy Biancalana. Buddy played for the Kansas City Royals, and the Astros. He started at shortstop for the 1985 Royals team who won the World Series. Buddy will talk to the players about their skills, with special attention on how to help focus the mind while batting. Of course, Buddy is happy to sign autographs also!

* Please remember that if you cannot make the scheduled practice, you are welcome to attend any other practice set for that week. Simply check other team practices that are age appropriate (i.e., within a year or two of your age) to identify practice times and locations. Please send an RSVP email to Tony Korson at tony@koasports.org to alert us to the change. Also, your athlete must introduce himself at the field so the coach knows your player’s name. Thanks!

GAME & PRACTICE FIELDS:
Avenel Park: (10051 Oaklyn Dr. Potomac MD 20854) Beltway to River Road West to Potomac exit. Follow River Road to left on Bradley Blvd. At the Persimmon Tree stop sign, Bradley Blvd. name changes to Oaklyn Drive. Go across Avenel development. Stay on Oaklyn Drive approximately 1 mile to field on right.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase (B-CC) HS: (4301 East West Hwy. Bethesda MD 20814) Drive East on East-West Hwy- Turn left onto Pearl Street (at McDonalds). Cross East-West Hwy West. Turn right onto Sleaford to reach back of field.
EC Lawrence Field #6: (Sully Rd & Rte. 28: Take I-66 West to Rt 28 North) On Rt. 28 North (toward Dulles Airport) go past the first traffic light (Walney Road is east and Braddock Road is west). At the next traffic light, turn Left off Rt. 28 and proceed west to the EC Lawrence Park athletic field complex. Baseball field is on right in back near trees.
Government Ctr (Herrity): (12055 Government Ctr Pkwy, Fairfax, VA 22035) Herrity is located at the Fairfax County Government Center. From I-495: Take I-66 West exit; take Exit 55B onto Fairfax County Parkway North (Route 7100). Turn right at light onto Fair Lakes Parkway East; turn right at light onto Monument Drive; turn right onto Government Center Parkway. Turn right at 1st corner. Field is next to Herrity Building. Field is not visible from Government Center Parkway.
Whitman HS: (7100 Whittier Blvd, Bethesda, MD 20817) Take Beltway to River Rd. exit toward Washington, D.C. Take River Road to Whittier Blvd. Turn left onto Whittier Blvd. School is about one half mile on the left.
