Koa Sports Youth Sports in Washington, D.C. and Maryland

Welcome to Koa Sports (pronounced koh-uh), where our motto is "Changing Kids' Lives Through Sports." We are the leader of boys and girls sports in the Washington Metropolitan area and whether it’s baseball, basketball, softball, flag football, lacrosse, field hockey, or our summer camps, Koa offers unparalleled professional instruction. Our model is unique in that we use non-parent coaches. Here's why they're so great - Koa White Paper: The Importance of Learning From Non-Parent Coaches.

The word Koa means “strength,” and through our programs, our athletes strengthen their skills and their minds to help them both on and off the field. Our athletes learn about winning, about losing, about functioning in a team environment, and about working hard. We are also proud to report that in 2009, the majority of our participants who were seniors in high school are now playing a collegiate sport. When evaluating a sports program, consider this:

  • Koa offers top coaching in the area, utilizing former professional and college athletes (check out our staff page!)

  • Koa maintains a high instructor-to-athlete ratio (usually 6 to 1!)

  • Koa does not rely on parent coaching – we provide professional coaches to allow your athlete to learn from others. At Koa the coaches coach and the parents parent! Read our Koa White Paper on "The Importance of Learning from Non-Parent Coaches."

Thanks for visiting our website. Don’t hesitate to call or email us with any questions!
