Koa Provides Whitman Student-Athletes with Scholarships

CEO Tony Korson was pleased to present Koa’s 2016 Walt Whitman High School Scholarship to seniors Alex Hilsenrath and Charly Walter (not pictured.)

Koa Sports League is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to Shaping Kids’ Lives Through Sports. Every year, Koa will award two scholarships to deserving Walt Whitman HS athletes. One male and one female athlete will be awarded $500 each for displaying Koa’s four core values.

  • Positive
  • Dedicated
  • Team-First
  • Fun

This award is not necessarily for the best player. However they need to be fully committed to their team and coach. This athlete does not need to be playing a sport in college to be awarded the aid; their high school experience dramatically improved because of being on a team. Finally, this athlete needs to bring the positive energy to every practice and game. The excitement for the team is the same down by 10 with a minute to go, or over a huge win over rival BCC HS.

Koa Sports is proud to support the Walt Whitman HS athletic program, and is looking to continue this scholarship for years to come.
