Jalen Simons is the definition of a “Basketball Head.” He started playing the game at four years old in Maryland at a skills league called mini-mix where he did not score a bucket or let alone know how to dribble for 2 years straight. Being very tall for his age he was given an opportunity to play AAU with a team called Maryland Stars. Fast forward 3 years, his game evolved and he started playing top competitive basketball with Team Takeover, DC Blue Devils, and Maryland’s Finest. On that team, most of his teammates went on to play D1 basketball at notable colleges such as Villanova, Butler, and Towson to name a few. Jalen went a different direction, he started coaching and training basketball at MADE Sports Unlimited, until he went to college at Hampton University. During this time period he discovered he had a great eye for talent and opportunities to organize basketball.
