Coach Mike Votaw has been coaching youth sports for more than 15 years. He grew up in Bethesda and was a Gazette All County basketball coach at Walt Whitman High School. He played NCAA Division III basketball at Swarthmore College. He has coached top performing youth basketball teams in the area at the recreational, competitive club level, and high school team level. He has also coached youth soccer and softball.

He has coached youth basketball teams to numerous championships including the Montgomery County Rising Stars 7th grade boys championship, the Fall Montgomery County girls varsity high school championship, and the All County recreational boys team Spring tournament championship, and several Maryland Flames Tournament championships.

Off the hardwoods, Mike serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the American College of Cardiology Foundation. He enjoys developing the work ethic, skills, and competitiveness of youth through sports and is excited to be a part of the Koa Sports experience coaching the 6th Grade Boys Select team and a recreational level team!
