Flag Football Testimonials

“Koa’s Flag Football staff was professional and the communication was excellent. The non-parent coaching kept things positive. I had 2 players and I was so impressed with both coaches; the coaching was appropriate for each age group (8 & 11). I was particularly impressed by Shelby, who coached the 3rd/4th Bobcats. I could not have asked for a better coach. He was engaged, excited, understanding of the limits and emotional needs of his players, always positive no matter what happened in the game. This guy is a gem - do whatever you can to keep in your organization.”
- Mary Collishaw, Bethesda

“We liked that your flag football program was run by somebody other than a dad. The kids loved those young athletes -- they looked up to them. It was great to have those young coaches. They were very positive and organized the rotations well. And your staff was very good. I thought the program was well organized and we appreciated the timely emails.”
– Natalie Geenen, Potomac
“The Koa flag football coaches were fantastic, amazing, and outgoing! Anytime we would arrive early they would take the time to grab a few kids and start throwing the ball around. The program was very organized and the emails were very direct and to the point and helpful. Thanks again for a great experience.”
- Suzanne Garner, Gaithersburg

“Koa’s flag football league was an excellent and well done program. Your coaches were highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable professional coaches. Good officiating and support. A very positive experience for all.”
– John Klusaritz, Potomac

“I thought the flag coach was nice and engaged with the athletes, and also thought the Koa administrators were very approachable and interested in the family's experience. Our coach was good, striking a nice balance between skill development and fun. Communication from the administrators was prompt and friendly.”
– Lynda Williams, Chevy Chase

“The K-2 [flag football] program is great. The coaches are enthusiastic so the kids really get involved and the coaches actually gave instruction! It’s a great mix of skills training and game time. After the first week, my son slept with his football, and 3 months later still does! We've signed him up for Koa baseball now, changing from last year's league.”
- Wendy & Dave McWhorter, Potomac
“My son had a fabulous time at flag football and Coach Drew was the best. Our coach took a group of kids who didn’t know much about football and carried them through a pretty challenging season culminating into a well prepared flag football team in the playoffs. As a parent, you can’t ask for more. Thank you. See ya next year 🙂

"I would like to commend koa sports for being such a great organization. I had never heard of you until my friend suggested that I get my son, Benjamin, on a flag football team with her son. I love how they practice and then play. The coach is awesome and so nice, not to mention the price! Furthermore, when I arrived at the tent to sign in and pick up the jerseys from our PM Sharon, everyone was so helpful and friendly. I have four children, so we are involved in a lot of different sports organizations; it's quite refreshing to be in one that makes it easier on everyone. Thanks again!"

"Koa football has been a great experience! The expert coaching helps improve the on-field product and takes the burden off the parents. My boys can'twait for next season!"
- Brett Robinson

"What a great flag football season. The boys had a terrifice time and the coaching was great. My son looked forward to every game. Can't wait to do it again!"
- Julie Fox

"This is the first season of our son, Jack, playing flag football and I think koa sports and Coach Tony have created a fan for life. The instruction was excellent, hands-on, and well tailored for the younger set. The collegiate and professional players that made up the coaching staff were terrific with the younger kids and emphasized that the name of the game was fun, fun and more fun. We especially appreciated your program's willingness to reschedule games in the face of a challenging rainy season and to make sure the kids had a chance to have play-offs despite Mother Nature's best efforts. We look forward to checking out more of Koa's programs in the future."

"Koa's K-2 flag football program was wonderful! The staff was excellent, the time well-planned to keep the participants on the move and engaged, and the kids were PSYCHED! We very much liked the emphasis on learning the game, safety, and sportsmanship. Super program!"

"koa sports consistently provides an incredibly positive experience for my son. The professionalism with which the organization is run is obvious from top to bottom. The owners of the company are very involved with all facets of the business, especially on the field where it counts for the kids. The games are conducted with a huge emphasis on fun, but without deemphasizing that huge component of sports - competition. Simply a great product!"

"My daughter went to basketball for the first time last Saturday. She was so excited. She is the youngest of 3 children. Having 2 older boys, I have seen a lot of sports and been through quite a number of programs. She is the first of my three to do a Koa program and I was so impressed! The coaching staff was incredible--so professional and caring!! They really knew their stuff! The girls had a great time, learned drills and layed a game at the end. She can not wait to go back next week! having been through so many other programs, I only wish ther had been ones like this with such skilled coaches! Thank you!
- Lauren Slazberg, Potomac

"My daughter loved Koa's girl's flag football! For a child who likes to 'try out' a sport and switch each season, we were surprised when she immediately said she wanted to sign up for the next session. Coach Dan was great with the girls . . . He interacted with them well, had high energy and wits, and engaged each and every girl."
- Regina Sakaria, Beltsville

"Thank you koa sports for a great flag football season! Our coach was so enthusiastic and excited for our team that it really made the games fun for all. My son, his team, and all the parents had a great experience with their first year as a Koa flag football team. Now, we are looking forward to spring baseball! "

"Let me say that the Koa Flag Football program was impressive from day one. It was a great balance of drills and games, the instructors' enthusiasm was tremendous and they made sure that every kid had a chance to participate and be part of the action. Most importantly, my son's skills improved and he had fun."

"What a great flag football season! Brandon and Ryan really liked the addition of running plays. The entire team was very inspired and motivated by their coach, Barrington. I think the parents on our team had more fun than the kids did. Great job on how organized you guys were and keeping us informed when necessary!"
