Facility Update – Permits In Hand!

Facility Update – Permits In Hand!

Good news: Facility update, everyone! Last week, we received the necessary permits for work at our brand new facility space. This means: IT’S GO TIME.

Big things have happened at our 10,650 sq. foot facility since receiving the permit. Our full-time staff has been in there hauling equipment, designing spaces, and admiring our four brand new basketball hoops–just installed this week! This facility update is the beginning of the space’s major facelift.

The paint colors have been chosen and the space will be completely “Green Wave-d Out” soon. Our sport court installation is right around the corner. The space for our batting cages has been designated and the turf has arrived for our training center. Like we said: IT’S GO TIME.

We are hard at work on making Koa’s new home state-of-the-art. Our new anticipated opening weekend will be in late November. This means we’ll be open for business by the time winter workouts roll around and we are extremely excited to get our athletes in the facility to work hard and get better!

Facility Update – Reminders
The new home of Koa Sports will be at 4960 Boiling Brook Parkway, just a short drive from our previous facility in Kensington. This great spot is located right off Rockville Pike and close to White Flint Mall, nearby to Bethesda and Rockville, meaning shorter commutes and more convenient training time for our Koa family! No more long drives to winter workouts; we’ll have a great, new space close to home.

We’re excited about this new adventure. We’ll have our own basketball court, a training turf, sport-court for field hockey and two batting cages. Long story short: more opportunities for your athlete to train, to learn, and to get better.

We’ve received a lot of questions about remaining memberships or sponsorships since sending our facility update via email last week. We have a very limited number of platinum memberships left, which you can access via the “Register Here” button on our website. For sponsorship inquiries, please contact CEO Tony Korson via email at tony@koasports.org.

Thank you to our entire Koa family for your support throughout this process. We can’t wait to share this space with you!
