Game of the Week

Week 4’s Game of the Week featured two undefeated teams in the 4/5th Grade Division. The Raiders and Nittany Lions looked destined to be a high scoring affair but both defenses set the tone early, each forcing a key turnover. An early second-half touchdown followed by a defensive stand put the Raiders in the driver’s seat. Following an interception by Noah R. with just over two minutes remaining, the Nittany Lions put themselves in a position to steal the game. The Nittany Lions drove down the field and on 4th down, Nittany Lion’s center Cyrus C. picked up a blitz and quarterback B. Graham delivered a strike to Blake M. to tie the game 6-6 with just under a minute left to play. The Nittany Lions would convert the extra point giving them the late lead 7-6. A last-ditch effort by the Raiders fell short and the Nittany Lions kept their undefeated record intact while the Raiders fell to 2-1.
