Koa Corner - Field Hockey Blog

Summer camp can be one of the most rewarding and unforgettable experiences in a child’s life. Through a community of caring and experienced coaches and mentors, summer camps provide an immersive opportunity for young athletes. Showing up to a new environment, making new friends, learning new things–camps expose your child to as much field hockey as possible–while having the maximum amount of fun. With a mix of skills, drills, games and activities, summer camp is a great idea for a fun and educational experience for your field hockey player.

Here are five reasons why you should go a Field Hockey Summer Camp:

1.     To advance in the sport
2.     To make new friends
3.     To make memories
4.     To build self-esteem
5.     To have a lot of fun!

Summer camps offer a more laid-back environment than in-season opportunities while fostering a competitive, yet friendly, environment amongst attendees.  In addition to learning from qualified and passionate coaches, athletes are given the opportunity to spend a large amount of time interacting with their peers, teaching them life skills that go beyond the field.

Many of the Koa office staff have fond memories from their days at sport specific summer camps. If you ask us…there’s no better way to spend a summer! Check out our summer camp opportunities at https://www.koasports.org/programs/field-hockey/.
