What Will Camp Look Like This Summer?

– We will be following the State of Maryland Guidelines of groups of 10, which means 8 campers and 2 counselors.

-June camps will be capped at 32 participants which means 4 groups of 8 campers + 2 coaches. Starting in July we will have 5 groups, which will be 40 campers.

-Each group of 10 will be separated throughout the JDS fields and the groups will never participate as a “whole camp” per Maryland guidelines.

-We will NOT have access to the indoor facility. However, we will have a trailer bathroom onsite for campers and coaches to use. We will be cleaning this daily and it will be locked.

-In case of inclement weather, camp may be cancelled that day and you will be refunded your money for the day when camp is not in session.

-Koa will be providing personal shade tents for all campers. This is considered their “area” for water breaks, resting, eating lunch, and to cool off. The 4 x 6 tents will be placed 6 feet apart.

– We will have new pickup and drop-off procedures. That information will come in the welcome email for camp.
– Per Maryland regulations, our counselors WILL be wearing masks. If a camper is 9+ and older, they will be required to wear masks when appropriate.
– Social Distancing will be enforced by our counselors during activities. However, everyone must keep in mind kids will be kids.
– All campers and staff MUST complete a COVID screen test daily.
