November 2019 Newsletter- Happy Thanksgiving!

Koa Families,

Happy Thanksgiving! The daily grind of work, shuttling kids to activities, being healthy, Black Friday shopping, and traveling, etc…its go, go, and go. Hopefully, everyone (including me) can take a break from being connected and enjoy our long weekend with loved ones. There’s so much to be thankful for, and I’m thrilled to be spending time with my friends and family.

Here’s a quick construction update (pictures are below):

-Our batting cages were freshly painted black, it looks sharp and easier to see the ball.
-We also replaced our fencing that was bent to ensure our walls are safe
-The bottom floor (more Koa offices) are framed out and electrical work is nearly completed. We have a close-in inspection next week. Offices should be functional in mid-December.
-HVAC and data are next week!
-DELAY- the stairs may not arrive until early January, which means our parent viewing area/deck won’t be game ready until ~MLK weekend

Coach Brandon Tates:

Coach Tates adds accolades and another trophy to his Koa coaching resume. This fall, his 7th East basketball team took on the Force One League’s toughest division and finished the season with a perfect 11-0 season and earning a fifth championship! Coach Tates continues to set the bar in coaching throughout the county and looks to defend his winter league championship in Rising Stars this upcoming season. Good luck Coach Tates!

Aiden H.:

Aiden joined Koa a few seasons ago and has made an immediate impact on his team ever since. A member of Koa’s 7th East team, this fall, Aiden led the way dishing out assists, setting up teammates, and scoring in crunch time to contribute to the perfect 11-0 season. Aiden is gearing up for another winter season in Rising Stars as he prepares to defend last winter’s championship team in the same league. Go get ’em, Aiden!
